It's one of my favorites. I so enjoyed figuring out what a Viking guy would think of the modern world, and how he would adapt. The language alone was so fun. He and Lucy would be able to communicate because he would have known Saxon, and a lot of those words still exist today. And writing Vikings has always been special for me. I wrote two Dark Age Viking books, Danegeld and Danelaw, early in my career. And having your very own Viking in modern day San Francisco was very attractive. Of course, be careful what you wish for.
